Not ideal but I suppose the alternative doesn't really bear thinking about. He said one of the trials was a mockery of justice, & in the end the innocent pled guilty just to end the trial. I have been called up heaps (about 9 times altogether) but have been able to get out of it since I am a single mum. but now the boy is 16 and I can't use that excuse and, like you, thought I should do my duty. Didn't get called on the first one and got challenged on the second. So I haven't yet served on a trial. But I have no doubt I will get called again.
