The sun came out and I could work in the orchard and in the garden. These little darlings responded to the sun and began flowering. I have often wondered what my favourite flower perfume is........ but it's an impossible question.
Freesias, especially old fashioned Burtonii ones would have to be in my top 10.
Ah, even those few are filling the room with their delights.
I also love the smell of freesias.
ReplyDeleteHow great to be able to go out in your garden and make such a lovely bouquet from what's growing there........Does jasmine count as a flower? If so, that would be my favourite. If not, I'd pick roses.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Freesias! Here in the UK they are often used at weddings, in bouquets and corsages and because of that, I associate the fragrance with happy times.
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell them! & I see there are a couple of my favourites- grape hyacinth.
ReplyDeletemmm, also high on my list of sensory delights! Your spring is early, our freesias usually come up in mid september.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Freesias are my fav flower! I have such great memories of walking home from school in NZ and the 90 year old lady a couple of houses down from us was always in her garden, and would give me a bunch of freesias every day to take home. Love them!
