My day, or should that be state of mind, has improved considerably - I have had my visit to the dentist and it wasn't too bad this time at all. Phew! Tooth all fixed.
Moving on to something pleasant.
As you can see I had started eating before I remembered to take the photo . The first of our own Kiwifruit for this year - it ripened on the fruit bowl beside all the ripening feijoas - it was so sweet and juicy. Dry matter tests are being done on our crop today and we should be picking within the next week.
Yesterday I met this busy little hedgehog in the orchard - I think she posed for me.That's what you need for your garden Keewee, to eat slugs and snails.
By the time I finished my long walk last evening this is what I saw down at the beach. I am gradually working my way through the butterfly blocks ( and still don't like them ) putting in details and patterns on wings, sometimes using fancy stitches on the machine but each block should have had stabiliser like the centre panel .
What a sweet little hedgehog! We used to see them in the garden often when we lived in Belgium! But I've never seen one here. Your kiwi look delicious!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I had a kiwifruit right now! (particularly if it were perched on a pavlova...)

ReplyDeleteHedgehogs are the cutest little things, and I would love to have a couple of them living in my garden for slug and snail control.
ReplyDeleteI love kiwifruit -- it is such a great way to get Vitamin C. I've never seen a hedgehog and I absolutely love the photo of the tree(s) and moon.
ReplyDeleteOooh, Yum -- it's Kiwi time! They look amazing. And your little hedgie sure is cute -- I think you should name her!
ReplyDeleteWe dont have Hedgehogs here in Oz. I remember they used to fall into our compost pit & we would fish them out, & give them a little milk. My Grandmother was not fond of them though, she said they would steal the chook eggs if they could!
ReplyDeleteThat Kiwifruit looks far jucier than the ones I buy over here Ali, but the hedhogs are the same variety. He looks as if he's very happy with you.
ReplyDeleteThe Kiwi looks very tasty.
