This afternoon at 2.35 pm hopes of rescuing the 29 trapped miners in the Pike River Coal Mine were dashed when a 2nd large explosion occured. It is thought that nobody could have survived this 2nd explosion.
Hi Ali, thanks for that. I am trying to contact all the quilting groups in NZ but there's no centralised info so it's a big task. There are quite a few children left fatherless (one family has 5) and I'd like to see all of them get quilts, so if you can encourage your group to make multiple blocks, that'd be wonderful.
That's awful news, my heart goes to their families.
ReplyDeleteSo sad, Ali - our prayers and thoughts are across the Tasman tonight.
ReplyDeleteMay perpetual light shine upon them and may they rest in peace. Our love goes out to all the families xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
