I took this photo of her when were waiting to catch a bus. She made lots of bags . The black and white one on the seat is mine ; she made it for my birthday last year.
She loved making bags and quilts and had a long sewing history.
We spent many happy times together and my garden has lots of her plants she needed a home for, happily growing in it. (Her garden was quite a small town garden.)
The men in her family ( husband and 2 sons ) are right into motorbikes. This photo show her on the back of her husband's motorbike outside our house, a couple of years ago.
I will miss you so dear friend ,but have many happy keepsakes of our times together.
RIP DEE..

Dear Ali, I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's death. Sounds like you were both lucky in your friendship. May she rest in peace.
May you live long in good health and always remember her with love. She sounds a wonderful woman
So sad to lose such a lovely friend - but knowing she is now at peace without pain is comforting in its way.
She looked like a really fun lady to be with, and so talented making such beautiful bags.
Thinking of you and her family - may all the wonderful memories remain to comfort each one of you.
Mary x
Thank you Molly, Local Alien and Mary, Dee is still very much on my mind, so I am trying to keep busy. I am trying to be glad her pain has gone, but my eyes keep letting me down.
All the quilting ladies will talk about their memories of her when we are together so we will remember her now and in the future.
Sorry for your loss, Ali. Be kind to yourself and indulge in those memories.
Sorry to hear the loss of your friend......
Thanks Pauline and Chooky. We really don't need quilters dying...such a waste of talent. I'm trying to be brave about it. There isn't a choice really.
