Sunshine equals orchard work and gardening around here, so it's been a busy, productive week. Spring is everywhere....opening buds and planting time for veges and flower seeds. Most of the roses are pruned and lots of weeds are murdered!
Photos show a small planter bowl with miniature daffodils , which greets us at the backdoor. The most poppies out at one time so far is 7. As always the orange seem the most vigorous but I loved the white and the lemon, but I can't get a picture that shows off their delicate beauty to my liking....maybe I'll have to pick some and try again.( they do prefer the dry days )
Just one space left to embellish on ball # 17. It is going to be a black cat. The other 11 motifs I used are a strawberry; an avocado ; a red admiral butterfly; a star; a goldfish; a birthday cake; a drink mug; a blue and white umbrella; a frog; a Ruru( owl ) and a balloon.
Helena I posted your pattern this morning so it should be with you in about 5 days.

Ali, I LOVE these felt balls!! Fantastic!! and so inspiring...
goodness, it has been hectic, I love the balls and spring flowers, just reading about it all makes me want to go back to bed and catch some more sleep!
Spring at your place, autumn at my place.
My favourite is Ruru!
Loved seeing your pretty flowers, & the little daffs are so sweet.
Iceland poppies are always beautiful.
Can´t wait to start making a ball, have to choose colours.... I´ve decided to put sewing items on and keep it in my studio.
Lovely poppies, one of my favorite flowers. That sort always dies in our garden, but we have big red ones...have to wait for them until next June.
oh, great poppies! my favourite of all. And the felt balls are beautiful - but so much hand work.. sigh...
My first instinct was to say, quite innocently, "I love your balls." But it sat in my head and didn't sound quite right! But, since you're not male I guess it's OK to go ahead and say that....?
ah spring, I wish you would come here and murder my weeds! we get enough rain that they are always an issue until winter arrives. Lovely felt balls-how unique. I am a big poppy fan myself, though we don't have any planted this year- it's on the next year list!
