Maize fields.
Inland Papmoa
Kid's art in Te Puke.
The dunes and sea near Maketu.
R looking out the window on the way back.
This is my favourite photo, near Hauone.

Food and drink was available and the ladies from Back Porch Cafe came around with big baskets of food. This souvenir was probably for the kids but I got one anyway. I will eat it ( Shortbread ) later.

Thanks for the trip :)
Seems I would have known quite a few folks on your journey a group went from here also, but I knew I would have to be with family this weekend so declined.... bet you had a great time though.... so I am guessing you would not have been home if I had needed a cuppa Sunday on way back from the beach...you would have been forgiven as it was I needed to get back home by certain hour.

I would have wanted a train biscuit too! Hope you enjoy it with a cup of tea.
Great Photos Ali xx
As you can imagine Ali, these photos brought a lump to my throat. I loved Maketu as a child!
I rather like that type of Jazz music, & though I am not a train person, could imagine the trip would have been wonderful.
Thanks for sharing.
