All 4 drove down to Cornwall and Devon as far as Lands End, because to be so close and not do so seemed foolish. We stayed at a Coastal village called Pentewan which was lovely. We had dinner at this restaurant on the beach 2 nights.( inside not out here )
A beautiful ( NZ looking ) beach but a chill sea breeze.
Over the hills was another pretty little seaside place called Mevagissey.( pity the tide was out in this one )
The favourite things we did in this area was visit St. Michael's Mount which because the tide was in had to be accessed by boat. At low tide it is possible to walk across the causeway.
The present owner and his wife seen here were in residence while we were there but we didn't see them. Here is her portrait and you see what I spotted...she is quilting making a Grandmother's garden quilt!
The gardens below the castle are amazing - even more so when viewed from above.
The treasures this place was showing were amazing; each room had new treasures to inspect.
The other favourite place we visited was the Eden Project.( near St Austell )
Seen here on the walk down to it are the biomes , the ones on the left housing the rainforest plants,
the ones on the right the Mediterranean plants. All around outside are lovely garden including lots of vegetables and fruit that are picked are used in the cafe.
I couldn't resist this shot in the garden shop. Broom anyone?

Ooh! Lovely photos, lovely places! I'd especially like to sit each morning in one of those houses above Megavissey and look out over the water while having my morning coffee!
gosh am really enjoying your photos, lovely, taken me back a few years to when I was traveling round.
Thanks for sharing :))
What beautiful places you've seen! That castle garden is fabulous, oh to live in a castle, wouldn't it be perfect!?
It must be cold to live in a castle :) that´s what I imagine but probably they have good heating system.
